AtomSvet certifies its products for the European market
In October, 2013 AtomSvet, Russian manufacturer of LED lighting systems, is completing certification of it products for compliance with safety requirements of European Directives (CE).
It should be noted that presently the majority of Russian manufacturers endeavour to cater for the domestic market and so prefer to certify their products for compliance with the GOST R Standard and other national technical regulations.
According to analytical information only 10 out of 77 leading lighting equipment manufacturers can confirm compliance of their products with CE requirements.
It is also important to know which certifying agency issued the certificates. AtomSvet has particularly selected the German division of one of the major European companies, TÜV SÜD. An independent concern, TÜV SÜD was founded in 1866 and is one of the leading international agencies providing engineering services. Over 400 thousand companies are clients of TÜV SÜD, and the organization’s certifying agency, TÜV SÜD Management Service, issued 35,000 certificates in quality management alone.
The CE mark can be literally translated as “European Conformance”. The CE marking is mandatory for goods to enter European market; it proves that the product conforms to the safety requirements of European public health and environment protection regulations and grants the goods the right of free circulation within EU states (in more than 27 countries).
